Working with the City of Coral Gables (Mayor Vince Lago), Miami-Dade County Director of Public Works / Greenspace Management Division Deena Bell-Llewellyn, Dallas Hazelton, Preserve Manager - Natural Areas Management and Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department and Program Director of EEL (Environmentally Endangered Lands) Program, to coordinate a project that resulted in a major cleanup of Matheson Wetlands Preserve (mangroves bordering the community) as well as the planting of 25 mature native trees along the community swales.
